About

I was born in Addis Ababa Ethiopia in 1968. The 1974 Communist Revolution forced my family home to Canada in 1976 where I lived in Duncan, B.C. I attended university at Trinity Western (Langley, B.C.) and graduated in 1991 in the areas of history and education. At that point I came to Japan to teach English with the plan of returning in 2 years. That stretched into 20+ years in Japan. I've mainly been involved in education and have spent the last 15 years at Hokkaido International School.
