Bella Colbran

I completed a B Information Systems at UNSW in 2018, having graduated in 2014 from Queenwood School for Girls. I successfully gained entry into the UNSW Co-op Program after high school, allowing me the opportunity to complete a six month industry placement at PwC Australia in my second year of university. This experience sparked in me an interest in IT risk, and as such I continued working in the Risk Assurance team while completing my studies.I also have interest in UX/UI research and design, agile development and emerging technology, particularly Fintech. During my university experience I was able to gain a basic understanding of key concepts of these areas and am interested in developing my skills in them in the future. In any role, I hope to develop the skills I have learned throughout my time at university, while also gaining insight into the tech and/or financial industry and exploring different roles within technology and consulting. I am particularly passionate about the role of women in technology, and had the opportunity to share this passion, and to work on several initiatives to increase female participation in the industry, as an executive team member of UNSW Women in Technology Society (WIT).
