Ben Bakkum

I have 8+ years of experience in project scheduling, management, and design with a heavy focus on railroad transportation projects. I have worked with AutoCAD applications to produce design documents used in the construction design and bidding process. I also have worked with Primavera P6 to produce construction schedules and project estimates. I have over 3 years of experience in a fast paced 24 hour cycle railroad operations environment as a frontline engineering supervisor responsible for all maintenance, upkeep, and construction of mainline Class-1 railroad infrastructure on a territory encompassing approximately 70 geographic miles. I am working on projects funded by the AAR, FRA, and commercial interests to further the safety, productivity and longevity of the railroad industry through my work at TTCI, Inc. My professional aspirations are to pursue research endeavors that add value and longevity to track infrastructure utilized by all heavy-haul railways in the world.
