Ben Coggin

I am a Director at EY and member of our Strategy and Transactions Financial Due Diligence team. Together with my colleague Louise Smith, and - between us - with a combined experience working in M&A and Transactions of over 30 years, I lead our Transaction Diligence team across Yorkshire and the North East. At EY, our Strategy and Transactions team and capabilities help our clients buy and sell businesses and raise capital on the public markets. We enable businesses through Strategy and Transactions to reimagine their ecosystems, reshape their portfolio and reinvent themselves for a better future. Our expertise and experience include due diligence, corporate finance, M&A taxation, valuations, operational consulting, people services and law. Proudly calling Sheffield home, 2018 saw a return to Yorkshire for me after a number of years spent with EYs Technology, Media and Telecommunications sector team in London. During this time I’ve been fortunate to work with some of the most successful businesses and investors here in the UK on a wide variety of transactions (buy side due diligence, sell side due diligence, refinancing due diligence, IPO preparation, exit readiness assessments, and hostile takeover situations) across a number of sectors and countries.
