Ben Pietersen has more than 10 years’ experience in transfer pricing, working with various multinational entities in South Africa as well as the rest of Africa. Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Ben’s primary areas of expertise include preparing transfer pricing documentation for multinational companies, performing detailed economic analyses including benchmarking studies, preparing technical analyses and providing assistance with transfer pricing controversy matters which require a more in-depth understanding of transfer pricing principles. In South Africa and the larger sub-Saharan Africa region, Ben served clients across various industries, including oil & gas, mining & metals, specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical products, consumer goods, technology and communications, financial sector and other industries.
