Benjamin Knutsen

I am a versatile executive with 15+ year’s start-up and turnaround experience solving complex problems within multiple industries and disciplines. I have translated company strategies into organizational initiatives and acted as an internal consultant setting corporate and operational strategy and directing departments in goal setting and planning. I have developed financial models to evaluate corporate-wide projects, using break-even analysis, cost to acquire customers and valuation comparable models. I have an entrepreneurial and strategic mindset and utilize Lean Start-up methodologies for growing businesses. I envision operational process improvements then design corresponding technical initiatives to streamline operations, enhance revenue and increase productivity. To accomplish this, I first define the root of the problem by using a bottoms-up approach to evaluate the current process(es). I then diagnose current limitations and develop requirements documentation through stakeholder analysis and user research. Armed with this information, I evaluate alternatives and determine if existing technology can be used or if need custom solution. Finally, using a constant “measure, learn, rebuild” feedback loop I am able to pivot quickly resulting in the optimal solution. Throughout the entire project I utilize advanced change management techniques to build employee buy-in, ensuring adoption of the new solution resulting in a better customer experience. My educational background includes an Economics degree from the University of Arizona and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
