Ben serves as the Director of Rehabilitation at Houston Methodist The Woodlands. Prior to this endeavor, he was Clinic Director of the Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Sports Medicine Institute at Memorial City, and before that, the Coordinator of the Orthopedic Residency at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. He graduated with degrees in Biology and Psychology from Texas State University. It was here that he also attained his Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2003. Upon graduating, he embarked upon an early career in outpatient-orthopedics. His thirst for advanced knowledge, and desire to legitimize himself as a foremost authority in Sports and Orthopedics grew. He re-immersed himself in education and was one of the first two graduates of the Houston Methodist Sugar Land Orthopedic Residency in 2012. In 2012 he also became credentialed as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist, and acquired his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Women’s University. He completed his Orthopedic Manual Therapy Fellowship training in 2012 and became a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapists in 2013. Ben became a Board Certified Sports Specialist in 2015. Ben is the former Chair of the Texas Physical Therapy Association Southeastern District. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Texas Physical Therapy Association, and American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. He is active in educating various athletic clubs on injury prevention and relevant intervention. He has been a featured speaker for NFL, NBA, and MBL rehabilitation teams; as well as for the TPTA, APTA, and AAOMPT. He takes pride in being a movement impairment specialist and is an enthusiast of manual therapy. Ben aspires to re-invest his talents and knowledge into Physical Therapy, in an effort to autonomize his profession as the premier leaders in musculoskeletal dysfunction. He stays active through: pilates, cross-training, cycling, and traveling.
