• Over 10 years’ experience in working within mining environments. • 7 years’ experience managing statutory compliance requirements with excellent ability to interpret and analyse environmental laws and regulations. • 5 years’ experience in assisting with and coordinating closure activities. • 5 years’ assistance with land management activities and engagement with stakeholders. • Management of approval submissions for a large scale gold mining company in Western Australia. • Ability to organise, validate and analyse environmental monitoring data specifically relating to groundwater, surface water, noise, air quality and biodiversity. • Proficient in the usage of company software and programs including Microsoft Office, MapInfo, ArcGIS, Environmental Databases (Monitor Pro 5 Administrator) and the application to project work. • Proficient in managing mining and processing related environmental risk. • Project management of all aspects of minesite rehabilitation. • Leadership role in management of junior staff, environmental technicians and indigenous work placements. • Ability to work effectively within a team environment or proactively as an individual. • Sound knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and auditing processes.. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain and convey complex scientific material to individuals or groups with varying levels of understanding. • Experience living and working in remote and isolated areas, with a strong understanding on the environmental and social impact of mining on nearby towns and communities
