Commissioning Editor Documentaries for SBS Australia. Former Head of Documentary at Screen Australia - federal funding body managing day-to-day operations of unit as well as driving strategy for SA documentary funding programs. Both a content creator and executive manager, I'm experienced in both commercial and public broadcaster environments and have built original programs and teams from the ground up for Discovery International, National Geographic, SBS, Network Ten, TV3, TVNZ, BBC World and NBC Universal. Mentoring and guiding creatives to final delivery is a huge component of both my Series Producing or Exec Producer roles. I spent 5 years as Executive Producer of the international documentary series Dateline, commissioning and delivering close to a 100 films which received multiple awards including a BAFTA and Walkley award winner. I also spent two years as a Creative Producer at London’s BSKYB working on a range of network campaigns and promo shoots, I understand marketing, strategy and positioning. As a producer/director I have won several international awards including New York Festival TV & Film Awards, Qantas Media Awards and nominee for Best Direction in a Documentary by the Australian Academy Cinema Television Arts.
