Beth Ann Lang

Mrs. Lang has more than 30 years of experience working in the fields of early childhood and adult education and professional development. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Missouri Early Childhood Teacher Certification and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Mrs. Lang brings a background rooted in child development and human studies. In her time working with children, she has been an: assistant counselor for adolescent substance abuse clients, an independent contractor as a nanny, taught in the St. Louis Public School system, an adjunct instructor at the University of Missouri – St. Louis, and the assistant principal/director of a large blue ribbon child care center in Kirkwood School District. This wealth of experience gives Mrs. Lang a strong foundation working with all levels of the early care and education workforce. Since 2001, Mrs. Lang has been the Director of the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Missouri Scholarship, a statewide program that uses education, compensation and commitment to increase quality child care. Through this position, she grew the project from $50,000 annual funding in seven Missouri counties to as much as $1.5 million in contracts serving child care programs statewide. Her work with T.E.A.C.H. MISSOURI has enabled Mrs. Lang to work directly with college educators in the development of degree programs, curricula, assessment tools, articulation agreements, and common course codes at the collegiate level. In 2011, Mrs. Lang became the Chief of Quality Improvement overseeing statewide training, technical assistance and T.E.A.C.H. MISSOURI contracts while developing early childhood curricula. She has also designed learning experiences for training of trainers. Ms. Lang also oversees administration of statewide child care referral services and the Missouri Workshop Calendar. The title was changed to Chief Program Officer in 2018 with a reorganization at Child Care Aware® of Missouri.
