After many years in human resources and office management, I embarked on a second career ten years ago as a Professional School Counselor. I am an elementary-level School Counselor at an urban K-5 school, and I am board-certified through NBCC. I am experienced in individual and group counseling, presenting classroom lessons according to the district guidance curriculum, and collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure the social emotional well-being of the students in my building and my district. Additionally, I am certified in Play Therapy and have ample opportunity to practice this modality in my current role. I am also knowledgeable and trained in the diagnosis, treatment planning, and case management of clients, as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Kansas.
