About
I am a passionate and motivated hospitality manager with 15 years’ experience in the sector - from nightclubs to cocktail bars; fine dining restaurants to 5* hotels. Having parents who were publicans meant the pub was our living room when growing up! Hospitality is my forte - I see it as more of a lifestyle than an industry. For the last 6 years, I have been running The Wonder Bar: pop-up bar services for events, specialising in sourcing local products, creating unique and classic cocktails made with sustainably foraged ingredients and providing fun, friendly, professional bar staff.I have consulted for a variety of different hospitality businesses including hotels, restaurants and pubs. I am a people person - highly customer orientated; I thrive on creating a unique experience for patrons and helping other businesses do the same.Currently looking to expand my experience in all aspects, I’ve recently completed a module in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy in Cardiff University. Currently studying for an ILM Level 5 and I am trained to volunteer with Adferiad, who work with those with substance misuse issues. I love to learn and wish to continue growing my business in times of adversity. I want to expand my career but also, my priority is to be able to help people find opportunities for themselves, when they may have struggled before. Whilst waiting for a role within HMPPS to start, I have been setting up a Community Interest Company called Keep the Change CIC. Aligning my passion for hospitality with creating employment opportunities for those leaving prison & other vulnerable groups. The mission: to create sustainable futures in hospitality, for people, the planet & the community. The aim would be to provide training and develop transferable skills through pop-up events, with the long term vision being a community space - think restaurant/lounge bar with seasonal menus, beautiful ambience and a social heart.
