Bethany Rodriguez

Currently working as a mental health specialist in Salem Hospital's pediatric psychiatry unit. On this unit I provide direct patient care to children and adolescents dealing with mental health conditions. I create a safe and welcoming environment for all patients and directly manage crisis situations in a therapeutic and trauma informed manner. Currently applying to MSW programs in the Greater Boston area, working toward pursuing my LCSW. I am passionate about growing in my career and providing more access to services to communities of color, working specifically with children and families. Former experience as an American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor, American Safety and Health Institute Instructor, and former Ellis and Associates ILTP Instructor. Formerly employed as the full time Associate Aquatics Director of Safety at The YMCA of Greater Boston in the Reading branch. I have taught countless training programs for lifeguarding, CPR and AED, First Aid, and oxygen. I am passionate about safety as well as the training and development of others. Along with my experience in training and developing safety skills I was formerly in charge of the private swim lesson program at The YMCA of Metro North in the Melrose branch. With my position, I worked to pair swimmers with instructors that best meet their individual needs in order to strengthen individual abilities and build upon new skills.
