I am an Associate in the Insurance, Financial and Professional Disputes team at international law firm, Clyde and Co. I previously headed the Court of Session practice of a boutique litigation firm in Edinburgh where I practiced in commercial dispute resolution and public law. I have been instructed in a wide range of commercial disputes concerning banking, commercial leases, civil fraud, unjustified enrichment, sequestration and commercial contracts. I have an interest in professional negligence actions and have actedin cases involving solicitors, accountants and financial advisers. I sit on the Appeals and Reviews Sub-Committee Committee of the Law Society of Scotland and have drafted calls for written evidence on behalf of the Law Society. I am a regular author to Free Movement, one of the UK’s leading immigration and asylum blogs. In September 2017 and 2018, I organised, hosted and presented at one of the largest immigration conferences ever in Scotland focusing on the impact on immigration law post-Brexit. In June 2017, I presented a Petition in the European Parliament on how the UK government can amend the current administrative process to allow EU nationals to more easily obtain a right of residence in the interim period leading up to Brexit.I am an Associate Member of the Society of Writers to Her Majesty’s Signet. I was shortlisted for Paralegal of the Year 2017 by the Scottish Legal Awards and won the same category at the Scottish Legal Awards 2018.I tutor on the undergraduate Public Law module at the University of Edinburgh. I am fluent in Punjabi and Urdu.
