Bill Haas

In 1990, I started my career in health care with Labcorp. Initially serving as a territory manager, then become a regional manager, regional director, vice president, and senior vice president. In 2004, I became EVP of sales, marketing, and managed care, and later EVP for all of LabCorp’s esoteric and oncology businesses. In 2008, I cofounded an entrepreneurial start-up backed by Labcorp, CancerGuide Diagnostics, where I served as president and chief operating officer. The company focused on improving cancer management by providing physicians with advanced molecular diagnostics that enable individualized treatment decisions. In January of 2011, I returned to Labcorp’s northeast division and the hyper-competitive growth market, as senior vice president. With full P&L responsibility, the northeast has consistently ranked as one of Labcorp’s largest and fastest growing divisions. I strive to to enable Labcorp and Dynacare to become the highest quality, lowest cost laboratory services providers, a position that will help us provide affordable access to quality care. Since 2016, I also have served as the managing director of the Dynacare BOD. Dynacare is an innovative, diverse Labcorp company, and is the second largest commercial laboratory in Canada. Additionally, I lend my expertise and experience to Labcorp’s southeast division, by serving on the University of Tennessee Medical Center UHS joint venture BOD, as a member and former chairperson. I am a Board Advisor to Circuit Clinical, an innovative integrated research organization (IRO) focused on bringing clinical research to provider organizations. I just retired as board member and have retained Emeritus BOD membership with the New York State Clinical Laboratory Association (NYSCLA), a not-for-profit trade association which promotes the common business interests and seeks to improve the business conditions of clinical laboratories located or operated within New York State. Lastly, I have served on several charitable boards in my career, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and founding the Western Triangle Youth Football Association in inner-city Durham, North Carolina. Since 2012, my northeast division has launched 28 successful Adopt a School charitable, underserved community-impacting platforms, for LabCorp and his employees to give-back locally. I was honored in 2014, with the Dr. Beny J. Primm Humanitarian Award by Dr. Lawrence Brown and the START organization as a testament to my passion for responsibly serving Labcorp while giving back to the community.
