To all my friends and colleagues:As many of you know, I embraced retirement in January 2020. It has been a joy and honor to have worked with so many amazing people. As a sales leader, I had the pleasure of being around top revenue producers in our market, and will always appreciate the hard work you expended to be the best.I started in the technology field in the mid-80’s. That’s right, it was a long time ago. We didn’t have cell phones, and there was no such thing as email (at least not for business). We wrote down meetings on calendars (a Franklin planner if you were cool), and business cards were actually useful, even necessary.We saw most customers face-to-face, and on our way there we listened to music on tapes, or occasionally a more meaningful message, in the car. While Steve Jobs was getting fired from Apple, and Prince Charles and Princess Di were planning the Royal wedding of the century, my colleagues and I were hustling out our sales calls. I learned way back then that there was no magic formula that would replace hustle.Decades later I’m thrilled to have seen the massive growth and innovation in our industry. I’m grateful and honored to have worked with so many wonderful and talented people. If ever I can help anyone, don’t hesitate to ask. I owe all of you for whatever success I’ve encountered in the last 35 years.What now? Woodworking, guitar, shooting, home projects, bible study, golf, fishing, pickle-ball, and Gramps… that, or something different, is what I’ll be doing when you call.
