Bjarke Gotfredsen has worked in the field of Information & Communication Technology since the late seventies. He has a B.Sc. In Information Technology from the Business University of Copenhagen. He ran his own consulting company from the mid eighties to 1999 when he moved to South Africa.Since Bjarke Gotfredsen arrived in South Africa he has been involved in IT companies at board level focusing on strategic implementations of information technology.In 2005 Bjarke Gotfredsen moved into the area of Economic Development. He was instrumental in forming the South African Legal Information Institute (www.saflii.org), which is tasked with collecting and hosting judgments and legal decisions from 16 Southern African nations. In 2008 Bjarke Gotfredsen Co-founded MEDO (the Meta Economic Development Organisation) with Judi Sandrock. MEDO establishes Public-Private Partnerships between primarily DTI, Provincial level government, and Municipalities and large - typical international listed - corporations, which with a focus on governance as well as contribution, want to develop the local economy.In 2015 he founded ☒ as result of missing the right tools for the STEM programme that MEDO initiated via their MEDO.SPACE initiative.Bjarke Gotfredsen has a MBA from GIBS 2002. He has published in international journals and holds world wide patents in ICT security processes.
