We believe that a theologically rooted approach to ending poverty offers a powerful critique of mainstream development thinking, and provides a compelling alternative vision of human flourishing that can be inspiring and relevant to Christians and non-Christians alike. As the Global Advisor for Theology and Church Partnerships, I support the Policy and Advocacy instruments of Christian Aid that enable us to achieve this and help to reflect our faith foundations and values in the development work that we engage in. We are committed to an applied theology, or praxis, that extends across the whole life of Christian Aid. I also liaise with churches and faith based organisations in helping them to articulate and execute their social development programmes. We are non discriminatory in our service and partner with both faith and non-faith organisations to bring humanitarian aid and development to affected communities.
