I bring determination and drive to every opportunity I take on, and I'm always finding opportunities to learn by seeking out experiences that challenge me while expanding my skills and knowledge. I am a results-driven leader and lifelong learner that thrives in an environment that allows me to grow and adapt. I strive to empower myself and others to do meaningful work that makes the world a better place. As a creative thinker, I'm constantly looking for ways to grow my knowledge, whether it's through coffee chats, listening to podcasts, reading books, or taking online learning classes. I've taken on diverse leadership roles in student organizations at Simon Fraser University (SFU), which broadened my perspectives and built on my leadership skills. An experience that pushed me to continually learn and grow was representing SFU at case competitions at the regional, national and international levels. Working in cross-functional teams, I learned to view problems from a big-picture perspective and develop effective marketing strategies to solve real-world business problems, while storytelling in a compelling way. Through months of training, I honed my presentation skills, critical thinking skills, and marketing strategy knowledge. My most notable achievement in this area was taking home a second-place win for SFU in the Marketing category out of 12 other universities at JDC West 2021 through a brand communication strategy for MEC. I love the ever-changing nature of marketing and the consumer environment that allows for innovation and creativity. With a passion for creative problem-solving, I aspire to have a career in marketing strategy, strategizing to effectively position and brand global companies for long-term success, impacting not only the company's bottom line but the entire world.
