After working at an interior and furniture design firm for three years, I decided to blend my love of real estate and interior design. I now manage the interior finish selections program for a medium-sized real estate development firm in Chicago. There is a trend in the midwest and across the country toward interior design as an investment in one's real estate portfolio. Now more than ever buyers and owners want style and functionality that will "future-proof" their home and enhance its value. By keeping appreciation and resale value in mind, I advise buyers and owners on what options and upgrades will enhance the value of their home, without breaking the bank. I also offer individual consulting services for buyers, owners, and sellers in interior design, staging, and new construction/rehab finish selections.
