Hi, thank you for stop by and check my profile. Let me shortly introduce myself: I'm Boris Gurevich, EE with more than 25 years in operation, design and construction of substations, distribution and transmission systems from 4kV to 765kV, ОH and UG systems, HVDC, GIS and GIL(GIB), Solid Insulated Bus systems and lately HTS superconductor cable technology. And with that I'm worked on most challenging projects. Below is just few of them: •345KV Series Reactors and GIS at ConEd NY substations (2003); •500KV GCB and HVDC at PG&E (2004); •Absolutely ahead of the time smart substation design, that used GE goose messaging or what today we call 61850, METC Donaldson Creek project (2006); •345KV Series Compensators at Pacificorp (2011) •138kV and 345kV Gas Insulated Line (GIL) as well as installation of first in US ABB PASS double circuit breaker, first in US ABB Compass 138kV breakers and 345kV PASS at ComEd substations. 345KV & 138kV new GiS Substations, as well as upgrade and retrofit of legacy GIS Substations. 12kV and 138kV solid dielectric bus (Duresca) for ComEd substations. Designing and installing first 12kV HTS superconductor cable project as part of DOE/DHS Electric Grid Resilienty program. I just like what I do, specially when projects needs a lot of out of box thinking and not a standard approach. Besides that, I’m just regular guy, who love my family, friends and having good time.
