Brandon Clear

Hello, I am Brandon Clear, son of Samuel and Frieda Clear, and I am the future. “The Future” is my reference to wanting to make an impact in any career path I am fortunate enough to take. Growing up I was a military brat so moving and adjusting to my surroundings with my twin brother were a part of life. Although difficult at times, the military lifestyle molded me to the man I am today, and for that I am thankful. I attended the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana where I earned my M.S. Degree in Advertising. I also played on the Illini varsity football team. Before my attendance at the U of I, I received my B.S. In Marketing from Clemson University. During my tenure at Clemson, I attained success on the football field and in the classroom as well, graduating with honors. I was also involved in activities outside of the grid iron. I participated in a marketing class during the summer of 2010 which eventually led to my selection for a nationally televised ESPN commercial for the “Determined Spirit” campaign. This commercial was created to convey how an athlete can be a student first and have a future that is not within their respective sporting arena. Being a student athlete has allowed me to garner the skills that shall contribute to my success within business but also within life. Being a student athlete had its trials and tribulations but I feel as though that challenging commitment has been far more positive than negative. My participation within a collegiate sport has enhanced traits that truly are crucial within any working environment such as teamwork, work ethic, leadership, and commitment.
