Brandon Cox

Brandon has been featured in Yoga Journal and promoted nationally as a Be Present Clothing and lululemon Athletica Ambassador. He teaches workshops and classes across the United States and Internationally. Additionally, Brandon has taught at national yoga conferences like Yoga Journal (Estes Park) and Wanderlust (Lake Tahoe and Copper Mountain). He is a partner/owner of CorePower Yoga. His passion is sharing the tools to an extraordinary life through a yoga practice. His classes have 50+ students consistently and most would say that his classes are “lighthearted, authentic and challenging.” Brandon was introduced to yoga at a very young age by his Aunt Susan. Entrepreneurial ambition landed Brandon the job of Chief Operating Officer in a Denver Tech start up. He quickly found, as most of us do, that demands at the office were out of balance with the rest of his life. Becoming a weekend warrior, he kept diligent in following his other passions: trail running, mountain bike riding, snowboarding, and...yoga. Thanks to the seed planted by his Aunt, he found himself in a hot-humid room, getting ready to take his first Bikram class in 1996. In 2000, after exploring other styles of yoga, Brandon left his corporate job and moved to California in order to study yoga with some of the most accomplished teachers in the industry from Los Angeles to San Francisco. His passion for yoga had transformed into a career, and upon returning to Colorado he partnered with Trevor Tice to open the first two CorePower Yoga studios in 2002. Brandon draws from his life experience to create an authentic, inspiring voice in the yoga room and the community. He directly supported new market openings in Minneapolis, Denver, Boulder, Portland, San Diego and Orange County. Brandon developed the curriculum for CorePower Yoga’s 200-Hour Teacher Training and Online Teacher Training which has trained over 10,000 teachers world-wide. Brandon’s most recent project is to open and operate studios on the central coast of California. You will often find Brandon in the studio as a yoga student. Some of his favorite trainings and workshops have been with Bikram Choudhury (Certified Teacher 2000), Baron Baptiste (Certified Teacher 2002), Cameron Shayne (Certified, 2005), Rodney Yee, Anna Forrest, Tim Miller, John Friend, Richard Freeman, Brian Kest, Simon Park, and Rusty Wells.
