Bree Drda

Senior chemical engineering student at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. While there, I have been involved in campus activities and the community. I have held various leadership positions with UNL's chapter of the Society of Women Engineers, and I am currently the president for academic year 2016 - 17. My academic achievements have been recognized by being named on the Dean's List each semester. I enjoy sharing what I have learned by tutoring high school students for the organization Boys Hope Girls Hope. In order to gain knowledge outside the classroom, I studied Spanish for one semester in Costa Rica. I now speak fluent Spanish and am currently learning Portuguese in order to become trilingual. Professionally, I have held two internships with Hormel Foods. I have experienced what engineering looks like both at a plant and corporate level. My ability to learn quickly has allowed me to gain several valuable skills and complete multiple projects for the company.
