About
Throughout both my academic and professional careers, I have strived to develop a highly interdisciplinary skillset, focused primarily on chemical and biological analysis, as well as human and environmental risk assessment. Through the University of Guelph’s Toxicology Program, I’ve had the opportunity to become proficient in analytical and instrumental analysis, including HPLC, GC-MS, Atomic Spectroscopy, ICP, and Fluorometry. At the Public Health Agency of Canada’s Laboratory for Foodborne Zoonoses, I have performed several literature reviews, informing microbial risk assessments of E. coli O157:H7 and Campylobacter Spp.. In addition to the statistical packages R and SAS, I am familiar with both the @Risk and Analytica modelling suites – the latter of which I used to develop and assemble a model detailing the fate of manure-borne, pathogenic E. coli in the environment. I am actively pursuing opportunities which engage both these skills and my love of problem solving in a challenging environment, hopefully with the same collaborative attitudes of my previous workplaces.
