As an innovative, forward thinking Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) leader, I have spent the past 15 years of my career focused on how people, processes, and technology can best come together to transform project delivery outcomes. This interest has allowed me to focus on the project planning, management, and execution efforts of how a VDC workflow can drive successful project outcomes. Most recently, I have focused on collaborative Design-Build efforts, as well as modular prefabrication opportunities. This has allowed me to demonstrate the value a BIM can bring to facility owners from a lifecycle management strategy, while successfully implementing BIM Project Delivery Standards to enable consistent outcomes. By contributing to national publications and speaking at conferences around the world, I have been able to promote the value of my VDC expertise to potential clients and be recognized as an industry trusted advisor. This focus has provided many opportunities to bring about new revenue generating projects, while creating marketable competitive advantages. Combining these traits with my strong leadership and communication skills, I am able manage teams collaboratively to fully leverage technology in solving everyday design and construction challenges. As thought leader in this field, I have also had the opportunity to serve as an advisory group member and past-chair of the AIA National Technology in Architectural Practice Knowledge Community while serving on the BIMForum committee responsible for authoring the Level of Development (LOD) Specification.
