John Lewis made famous the phrase “get into good trouble.” I believe this encapsulates the spirit of the inner child we all possess, that little voice that encourages us to question the world around us and pushes us to act outside of our comfort zones. As a communications professional, I strive to live at this intersection on a regular basis. I am fascinated by how people interact with one another, and how the internet and social media influences this relationship. I am inspired by the collective power of grassroots action and the potential of the internet to amplify these efforts to create positive change. I have eight years of previous work experience related to development projects with the Peace Corps and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the last three years of which were specifically focused on internal and external communications. I am enthusiastic about bringing this diverse experience to an organization focused on creating lasting positive human impact.
