2021- Was tasked with finding an immersive experience for the new student learning center being built. Headed an exploratory group to Michigan St. To investigate their 360 Immersion Room. Held brainstorming sessions to devise content and curriculum that could be enhanced by such a space. Was requested to be a member of the Foundry Committee, the Cafe Committee, the Tech Doctors Committee, and head the 360 Room Committee. Started work on a Master's in Educational Technology at the University of Toledo. For my Master's Project I furthered our development with the iPad initiative and worked with teachers in Elem and JHHS to implement the mobility that the iPad brings. 2020- Sat on the Covid Response Team. Headed the technology initiative to create our remote learning environment. Purchased iPads, Pencils, and AirPods to assist the teachers in the classroom. Personally held one-on-one and small group staff professional development in July/August on how to use iPads to successfully live stream their classes for the students who chose to stay remote. Teachers utilized the iPads and Google Meet to show their classroom activities, display live-edits on worksheets, and grade student work digitally using Google Classroom. Presented to the Leadership Team and the Board on how iPads will also assist us in cutting costs in every classroom as we transition from SmartBoards to consumer TVs. Installed and trained staff on the use of our school visitor system from Raptor Technologies to meet our district's mission for providing a safe learning environment for our students. Purchased a 360 camera and worked with summer student workers to create virtual field trips for students at our local Art Museum and Zoo. Currently looking into VR solutions for our Elementary and JH science departments to expand the possibilities of student learning. Investigate the possibility of switching to iPads K-6 by meeting with each grade level team and going over pros, cons, and goals. 2019- Asked to serve on the Ottawa Hills Leadership team. Assisted with creating the MakerSpace in the High School. Led the eSports team to the Final Four at Tiffin University. Rolled out Google Meet and other software for students / teachers during the 2020 spring quarantine. Ramped up our ticketing system with guides and tutorials to quickly assist students, teachers, and parents with tech issues remotely. Implemented TeamViewer to remotely log in to machines to help students while at home. Assisted with the implementation of Kami allowing teachers to post editable worksheets to Google Classroom K-12.
