About
How would I resume my profile in one sentence ? Well, let's say I'm a generalist software engineer, and a C++ specialist. After a first experience at Goto Software, where I was in charge of an online game platform (www.netgammon.com), I switched to the real videogame industry joining Hydravision Entertainment, a video game studio startup in 2000. In 11 years in this studio I have had the opportunity to work on a lot of different games, hardware platforms and SDKs. I now have a valuable experience in physics, sound engines, and nearly all dev aspects of a commercial video game production. Since 2009 I also work on the Android platform in my spare time, but always with shippable product in mind. In this particular context I released a game and had the chance to take part in one of the Android Market best sellers, "beautiful widgets". My game, "Bridge Construction Kit", downloaded more than 500k times, is now available in open-source since september 2019. Some of the projects I worked on at Hydravision: 2003/2004 - "Obscure" (PC, XBox, PS2) - Physics engine, sound engine, sound integration 2005/2006 - "Obscure 2" (PC, PS2) - Physics engine, sound engine & integration, camera engine 2007/2008 - "Alone in the Dark (Wii)" - Lead programmer 2009 - "Obscure: the Aftermath" (PSP) - Lead programmer Since end-2011 I work at INRIA, a french research institute, on a medical physics simulation engine "SOFA", then on soft robotics. I was in charge of the dev team, and work in coordination of researchers and PhD students users inside INRIA and all over the world. For two years now I am in charge of the workshop of the DEFROST research team, a sort of mini-fablab. I am involved in the design, building and software interfacing of the robots of the team. I am also head of the institute's Continuous Integration service users support team. Specialties: Languages: C++, C#, Java, Python Sound engine, Physics, Core engine (file, prefetch, ...), Android development, IT admin, 3D printing/CAD design, robots prototyping OSes: Windows, OSX, GNU/Linux, Android Misc: git/gitlab/github, agile development, continuous integration, and more
