I am not merely a teacher of English Language and Literature. This, I believe, is the vehicle I am privileged to use which enables a wholistic approach to teaching and learning. English is not simply about the rules; it impacts daily life as it pertains to the development of analytical thinking in the young mind. My desire is to be able to affect the development of young people in becoming critical thinkers and clear communicators who can bring valuable contribution to society, no matter their age. English, as a language and not merely a subject, is ever-changing and wonderfully fluid; allowing for a wealth of creativity which can reach the current generation and those to come. I am a passionate individual, who enjoys learning, and has developed excellent communication skills as a result of my work experience in teaching, training and volunteering. I am able to use my own initiative, work well under pressure with attention to detail. My positive attitude enables me to accept any challenge or task given to me, and I can easily adapt in a new environment. This helps me develop good problem solving abilities whilst remaining self-motivated. The ability to meet deadlines and set goals are key aspects which I believe sets me apart from others
