Caitlin (Conrad) Van Zanten

Caitlin Conrad reports for KSBW Action News 8 Monday through Friday. Caitlin is the Monterey reporter, working out of the bureau there, with a focus on the peninsula community. Caitlin was born and raised in Salem Oregon and is a proud graduate of the University of Oregon, Go Ducks! While in Eugene she studied at the School of Journalism and Communication, earning her bachelor’s degree in Journalism, with an emphasis in Electronic Media and Public Relations. Before leaving the University of Oregon Caitlin got a taste of her first commercial newsroom while interning at KEZI 9 News. After graduating in 2011 Caitlin accepted her first job as a reporter at KTVL in Medford Oregon, where she was quickly promoted to Weekend Anchor. She spent three years in southern Oregon and Northern California covering everything from wildfires to courtroom trials. In 2015 Caitlin moved south once again to come and work on the beautiful Central California Coast at KSBW. Caitlin loves hiking, swimming, painting and the outdoors. However, her favorite thing to do is walking her dog, a rescue named Louie, if you see them out and about stop and say hello!
