Caitlin Shuler

I was sworn into the Delaware County District Office in October 2009, after graduating from Widener University School of Law, Delaware Campus. Currently I am a prosecutor in the Court of Common Pleas in Delaware County, PA. My duties include handling jury and non-jury trials, writing and pleading motions and assisting police officers with search warrants. While in the DA's office I have conducted preliminary hearings in several District Courts around the county. I was one of two Assistant District Attorneys in the Juvenile Division where I conducted adjudicatory hearings, placement reviews and other hearings on a daily basis for 18 months. I received my undergraduate education at LaSalle University , graduating in 2005. During my four years there I double majored in history and political science. After college I took a year off from my education and obtained a job as an Adult Probation and Parole Officer in Philadelphia. During my tenure here, I started law school part time at Widener University, while also working part time at Germantown Emergency Room in Philadelphia, PA.
