Caitriona Farrell

I manage a team of process engineers with a variety of scientific and engineering backgrounds. I work with team members to develop their skills, technical problem-solving capabilities, and on their overall growth, individually and as a team to meet area metrics such as safety, cost, quality, availability, output and training. I have previously managed a team of technicians developing and coaching them to ensure training, development and skills were continually improving whilst delivering world class operational performance in safety, quality, yield, reliability, cost, process stability/capability and productivity. Previously as a process engineer, I oversaw sustaining operations and drove continuous improvements projects for process and equipment across key operational indicators such as quality, cycle-time, capacity & cost. This required data analysis, problem-solving tools, judgement and collaboration with other teams both in Intel Ireland and international Intel sites. In 2012 I completed a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry in NUI Galway. My PhD involved the synthesis of a number of anti-cancer compounds from sugars
