Switching from Consultancy to Client, means a totally different perspective on your LinkedIn profile. No longer selling yourself as that ‘top-notch consultant’ everyone should want, but selling the Department Digital Channels Personal Banking as a great place to work. Aside from that different intro, my focus and experience has shifted in the past 5 years. Going from mobile testing to the full ecosystem of "Native Mobile App Development" for the AA App and running a department with 6 direct IT Lead colleagues. Leading, managing and coaching a department requires different skills and inspiration. I believe highly in the Drive book by Daniel Pink. Every individual can find their drive to get out of bed everyday. We have implemented this within our department with strong focus on Mastery, Autonomy and Purpose. Whilst colleagues and employees can have a personal drive to work at a department, we are also looking for engagement. Engaged people tend to take more ownership of a problem or opportunity and can have an accelerating effect on a department. Combining drive with engagement can lead to thriving organisations., which is the ultimate goal. Furthermore with experience in various sectors as Telecom, Mobile Banking, Insurance, Debt-collecting, Accountancy, Logistics and Pensions you could say that I'm pretty diverse, flexible or all-round. I can easily switch from point of view regarding solutions for different service providers. A skill that came in very handy when testing Mobile Apps. Though even more handy when being responsible for the whole Department Digital Channels Personal Banking. As IT Lead I’ll be leading our teams forward in our Agile and DevOps transition. When taking on a new challenge I'm quickly up to speed with the situation, problem, product and the environment in which I'm working.
