Cameron Harrop

My name is Cameron Harrop and I am currently enrolled at Grand Canyon University with plans to graduate with a Bachelors of science in accounting. I was born in Everett, Washington and lived there for the first 2 years of my life, then my family and I moved to Springfield, Missouri. After 7 years there we then moved to Rio Rancho, New Mexico. We stayed there for 8 years and then we moved again to Boise, Idaho. I lived there for 3 years and graduated High School there as well and then decided to return to the southwest and go to college at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. I believe moving so much at an early age and midway though my high school year is one of my biggest advantages I have. I had to grow up fast as well learn on how to fit in yet still be myself in many different environments. I was able to meet and build many amazing relationships in each state I lived, which then showed me how valuable making and building relationships are not only in business but in life as well. During this time I worked 3 different jobs throughout my senior year of high school due to my crazy sports schedule in prior years. I was a member of the tear down team at my church for 3 years, which entailed tearing down the portable church every Sunday evening. My first real job was through the YMCA, were I was a site lead and oversaw all youth basketball games in my gym and made sure each game started and was ran appropriately. After that I took up a landscaping summer job, and worked 50hr weeks M-F, learned valuable skills and learned how to work in a team environment with different people. I personally loved this job the most out of the 3 because I loved the people I worked with and loved seeing a project come together.
