She loves mastering the creative and technical sides of every discipline she learns. She loves story-telling in all its forms: photography, art/animation, Film/TV, fiction, poetry, dance, etc. She's had 7 years of experience practicing 3 different art forms: poetry, fiction, and script writing (live-action and animation). She also loves anime, drama television series, Japanese and Chinese action movies, food, and pearl pink.Professionally, Candice is currently a graduating from Loyola Marymount’s MFA program in Writing and Producing for Television. While at LMU, she has worked under independent producer Jessica Malanaphy and has interned with Daniel Paulson Productions, ABC Current Programming, HBO Programming, and FX Programming. While at FX Programming, she’s been tapped by junior executives to sit in on animation pitches and give notes, and she’s also been tapped by senior level executives to finish CAKE animation scouting. Additionally, she wrote and produced a short film called Walking Thin Lines that explores generational trauma of black women. Her short film has been selected for five festivals and has won three awards. Other than her direct industry experience, she has three years of TV Critic experience with Rotten Tomatoes approved sites such as TellTale TV and TV Fanatic. In related information, she has had two poems published in a UK online journal and a short story that was selected for the rEVOLution short story and film competition in Lubbock, TX.
