About
I have been teaching high school automotive technology at Buchanan Community Schools for over thirty years, but because of declining student enrollment the automotive program is being reduced to a half time teaching position forcing me to move on to find new fulltime employment. Although I do not have another 30 years to put into a new career I do have many years to give to a new interest. Because of my teaching background I am very experienced at planning, developing and managing training programs. During my time at Buchanan High School, I have developed and taught the following curriculums of Principals of Technology, Technology Education and Transportation Technology. Along with being a teacher, I have been an automotive mechanic for over 40 years and have earned ASE Master Automotive certification. My years working for the National Hot Rod Association have given me experience in race event operations along with a very strong working knowledge of race cars. As a member of Coachmen Auto Club for over 25 years, I have worked with the International Show Car Association where I have experience in the production of indoor and outdoor car shows, also as a member of the Coachmen Auto Club I have been a crew member and driver of race cars. I feel my experiences have given me a very good background to successfully work in many fields outside of education.
