Position works with new, continuing and re-entry students and is responsible for conducting student financial interviews, financial options counseling, performs needs analysis, and intake processing to ensure complete and accurate financing of student educational expenses. Utilize excellent communication and customer service skills to answer questions, counsel students, and encourage follow-through on loan commitments, assists students in the handling of their student loans and to prevent them from defaulting. Uses my knowledge and experience to inform and educate students about compliance with state and federal regulations, and help them on their path to a brighter future.• Respond to and resolve student concerns successfully in accordance with established guidelines. Provide customer service and answer student inquiries regarding financial status.• With a thorough knowledge of federal student loan programs advise students of their obligations, review financial applications and disclosure statements for completeness and accuracy.• Identify and present options including repayment plans, deferments and forbearances as it relates to individual circumstances, acting as liaison between students and third-parties such as loan servicers and the Department of Education to facilitate timely resolutions.• Work collaboratively with internal and external agencies to develop, track and maintain proper financial aid documentation throughout enrollment, awarding and packaging process.
