The campaign successfully educated more than 2000 people on the causes, prevention and treatment methods of obstetric fistula. •Carla’s passion for mobilising supporter through social media saw her raise $15,000 to launch the second phase of Campaign for Fistula Free Northern Ghana. •Carla led the Back to School fundraiser in 2013 after the devastating Hobart Bushfire, raising $12,000 for Dunalley Primary School. •In 2012 and 2013 Carla worked as a consultant for Tasmania’s leading public relations firm, Font PR. •Carla has worked as a freelance journalist, newsreader, news assistant, as the volunteer Tasmanian Communications Coordinator for Oaktree, Australia’s largest entirely volunteer and youth-run aid and development organisation. •She graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Journalism and International Relations 2012 and from the Vice Chancellors leadership award.
