I work with teams to amplify brands by creating a deep understanding of the intention, the desired outcomes, and the audience we want to reach through visual language and copy tone. My background is in creative production - running a still and motion company for over a decade gave me the keen insight to hear what a client wanted, help steer the conversation with my experience, and achieve outcomes that often exceed expectations. I also have a deep network of connections in the creative and agency world that can support any budget scale for specific projects. I always keep an evolving but consistent brand book to guide a clear vision that builds recognition and sets brands up for success. I believe data is creative. Working back from goals won't always get you exactly where you expected but it will keep a team enthusiastic and on track. From Subaru to National Geographic to Designs for Health I've seen creative energy thrive in the space of clear targets, informed outcomes, and tracing KPI’s for best practices. I love brand building, working with marketing to form a nose to tail experience from packaging to copy tone to creative consumer POS systems. I’ve come up in multiple startups that came to me with nothing but an idea, worked with spaces looking to KeHe and other wellness brokers to support product to shelf in the wellness space, and been able to experience the satisfaction of seeing brand success amplified by teamwork. Directing creative departments demands a deep responsibility to the team. From graphic design to copywriting to marketing support, I want to work in a space where we all support each other in order to achieve our best work from a sense of authenticity and truly caring about our brand. I take my role as a guide both in work and in the general well being of each member of the department seriously. On a personal note I also live an active lifestyle and want to create a team that also feels a balance between work and health are critical to the sustainability of great ideas. I solo backpack and trail run around the cascades in the Pacific Northwest where I live, with a particular love of walking around volcanoes. I also climb, ski, and I'm always down for an adventure. I was on the board of a cycling team for the W/T/F community in Austin Texas for 4 years, regularly speak to classes about WTF backpacking, I used to teach conservation education for the city of Portland and still have a strong motivation to educate people about sustainability. I’m also an actively certified Wilderness First Responder.
