Carole Forman

Recently I did three storytelling programs: at Park Slope Jewish Center in Brooklyn, at Concord Temple in Syracuse (for both adults and children), and at Manetto Jewish Community Center in Plainview Long Island--a children's program and stories for adults. Here's a bit about me: Carole Forman has told stories of spirit, transformation, and joy from the Jewish tradition and other spiritual paths around the U.S. And Canada engaging adults and children of all backgrounds at synagogues, churches, schools, universities, community centers and other venues. Carole is a professional actress, most recently playing Clotho, the Greek Fate in the NYFringeFestival production of "No Provenance" a new play by Caroline Prugh. Carole played the prophetess Miriam in In the Voices of Our Mothers. She was in the Broadway production of Strider, based on the story by Tolstoy. She created Soul-Motion ~ TenuYah to get folks moving and dancing body and soul. In her workshops she uses themes of Judaism, Spirt, and Nature. She teaches movement and voice for storytellers in the Jewish Spirit Maggid Training Program under the direction of Maggid Yitzhak Buxbaum and privately. Carole is also a Guidess trained at Life Works Inc. In her programs, she calls upon her skills as a teller and as a listener to create an atmosphere of inclusion and intimacy.
