Carolyn Maynard

Currently working as an embedded flight software engineer supporting the Simulation and Support Equipment (SSE) section for the Psyche and SRL missions at JPL. Developing software models and integrating existing models of the in-house testing environment using using C++, GitHub, CppUnit, Green Hills Multi, and Python on a Linux platform. Extensive experience designing, developing and delivering software. Highly adept at adapting skills to different frameworks and development environments. Strong background in flight software, websites, backend server-side software, and databases. Routinely exhibits the ability to quickly engage productively on a new project. Work well within a team or independently. Able to play a key role throughout the entire software development and support life cycle of a project to ensure quality solutions that meet business objectives. Develop code with the thought that I am not going to be the only one to maintain it going forward. After my early days modifying a huge Fortran accounting program while in college, I realized how important it is to make sure code is readable, understandable and flexible. As such my code is well documented, efficient, flexible, easy to understand and to maintain. My strong structured programming background has led to a strong OOP and MVC skill set. I also have a DBA, Camasoft Consulting, that maintains and develops websites and app software using PHP and CakePHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, WordPress, JavaScript, jQuery, Lua, Corona SDK, C and C++. I have written and won a grant for a non-profit club, and am founding president of a 501 c(7) women's cycling club.
