After graduating from Pendleton County High School, I would go on to find my a at Limestone Lawn and Farm Supply in Gardnersville, Ky. This was very beneficial for applying my studies in the field of mechanical engineering. I used computer aided design layouts to inspect and order parts. My job would go on to include delivery/pick-up as well as maintenance work. My next job would occur the next summer at General Electric Appliances in Louisville, Ky. During my internship, I learned more of the design and engineering aspects related to manufacturing products. I learned to review engineering drawings, organize parts data in excel spreadsheets, analyze manufacturing costs, work alongside engineers while using lean manufacturing techniques, and plan the next plant layout. The next year, I would go on to work for Trane, which is owned by Ingersoll Rand. I would further develop my engineering skills by analyzing wiring schematics, correcting test files, redesigning faulty parts or improving their function, and creating engineering models and drawings using Pro-Engineer, Metal Studio, and Auto-Cad. My future goals include getting a Master's Degree in Engineering and finding a career in the fields of Aerospace and Astronautics Engineering.
