Cassandra Holland

After attending Rootstech in 2020 I decided to transfer to BYU and pursue a degree in Family History and Genealogy. While at BYU I have had the opportunity to work on five different research projects through the Center for Family History and Genealogy, the Redd Center, and as a RA for a professor. These included the Early British Census Project, Nauvoo Community Project, Repatriation Project with Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, BYU Slavery Project, and a project on enslaved marriages with a professor. While on these projects I have had the chance to be a project supervisor for two projects, as well as an assistant supervisor. I have also done internships in England with the Early British Census Project, the Wilford Woodruff Papers Project, By Women For Women, and the Kentucky U.S. Colored Troops. These projects have given me a wide range of skills in genealogical and historical research.
