Cassandra Shenk

NEPA is my passion, believe it or not. It can be streamlined, and make a whole lot more sense to people if they understand it is a decision making process, documented on paper. I enjoy a good challenge, scientific, musical, or relational, it seems.... I am intrigued by the world we live in, and seek to learn something new, to ask questions, to continue to make the most out of life! I love to study watersheds, soil, and ponder the invisible, from the shape of molecules to what makes relationships between people work or not work. I enjoy "systems thinking" and am a trained Raytheon Six Sigma expert. All things- the human, vegetable, and animal are currently at risk due to climate change. I think information is the oxygen of a democracy, knowledge is power, and conflict is necessary and can even be productive. Although science is my passion, I am interested in environmental facilitation and mediation. I live in Paonia where my three children are growing into adults: Evelyn, Odessa and Irene.... They are so talented and wonderful! Four horses, three cats, two dogs and two rabbits also keep us company. Thankfully the four rats (Luna, Hobbs, Simone, and Eclipse) have passed on to their next life. Any old friends out there, you are welcome to come visit!
