Shaina Schell, CBAP, CCBCO

As a Financial Institution Compliance Senior Associate, I work with Financial Institutions to maintain a compliance program, monitor adequacy of control procedures in departments and conduct hands-on or individual training. I am a resource for Bank and Credit Union employees with regulatory questions and concerns. I complete annual BSA and ACH audits, as well as periodic Compliance reviews. I have been in Banking now for over 10 years; starting out as a Teller at Capital Credit Union. After a little over 3 years, I was promoted to the Contact Center, where I was a primary contact for our members, both on the phone and in person. I am truly passionate about my work; and am always eager to connect with others. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, I think my favorite is working with my amazing clients. The variety in what I do, my clients, and the traveling, all keep it interesting! However, since COVID, we have started doing more off-site reviews; which is a nice change. I am an ICBA Certified BSA/AML Professional (CBAP) and an ICBA Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer (CCBCO). I have an Associate of Applied Science, in Accounting, and a Bachelor of Science, in Business Administration.
