Am passionate about addressing the gaps in Mental Illness care in India, we’ve addressed some of these challenges through my startup but couldn’t continue the venture. Here’s a brief problem statement around Mental Illness that we’ve addressed in smaller pockets, would love to replicate the same at scale - Mental Illness care is complex due to the social stigma attached and an ineffective care delivery process. Unlike other Chronic Illnesses, effectiveness of Mental care treatment depends on the active support of family/caregivers along with consistent consultations & medication. In-addition, majority of Care is available either in cities or tier-2 cities. Due to these factors, more than 50% patients drop-out of treatment at various stages of Mental Health Care making care In-effective & Expensive. At the same time, 3 in 4 Patients are from rural areas where access to basic Healthcare is a challenge. Would love to collaborate with any like minded individuals in this space or anything that’s impactful.
