Charlie Toms

My career has taken an exciting turn and I am enjoying the new challenges. This opportunity realizes a long-term goal of mine to enter Law Enforcement. I hope to learn and gain experience within the department and eventually merge and utilize the knowledge and skills I developed before coming to the department. Before this I worked in the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) “drone” industry and in Telecommunications. Most recently creating and running a commercial UAS department for Edge Consulting Engineers here in WI. This program grew to include 23 trained and certified UAS pilots flying thousands of telecommunications , civil engineering and civil surveying projects across the US each year. This UAS program was successful in large part because of my past experience as an RF Engineer working for wireless carriers, power utilities and private firms for more than 20 years. Combining my telecommunications experience with my passion and expertise in UAS operations.
