Charlotte Dodsworth

I have been working in school settings since 2014 including two primary schools and a Steiner school. Since then I discovered my passion for caring and connecting with people, I have volunteered at a variety of organisations since then, once being the brilliant Hyde Park Source where I helped to run an after school club teaching children about premature and bushcraft skills which I really enjoyed. This inspired me to run my own afteeschool club which I now run at Woodhouse Community Centre through Oblong. My after school club focuses around homework and reading for the first 20 minutes and then I turn the focus to themes such as self esteem, respect, the environment and anti bullying. Separately to this I also run community dinners through Oblong where I choose a theme and people from the community all come for food and discuss how we can make positive changes in our local area.
