Chinar Patel

Hello/Namaste, I'm Chinar, a Master's in Information Management student at the University of Washington, Seattle. Currently, I’m a Student Researcher at Epic Games working on predictive analytics tools and user experience. I'm a positive, creative and a detail oriented person with a passion for Human Centered Interactive Design. I specialise in UI/UX and I am also proficient with Business Intelligence and Data Science. I have a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering from Nirma University. Throughout my career, I have had a privilege to work on several exciting projects and internships. During my BTech in CSE, I was a summer intern at Infosys. During my final year, I had the opportunity to work with Paul Toprac at SAGA Lab, UT Austin. I was a Software Engineer for 6 months and collaborated with Dell Medical School’s Department of Neurology. While pursuing my Master’s, I was a Data Science Team Lead with Newpoint.io in which we built a platform “SMASH”. I was also appointed as a UX Designer afterwards. At UW, I designed a COVIDTrace app which helped reduce the burden on public health systems by providing COVID-19 positive patients and their potential exposures, a safer , private, and faster way to communicate essential medical information. I also designed and developed an easy-to-use app that helped people with interval training, such as running, cycling, HIIT training, stretching, etc in a minimalistic way. I have also done business analysis and recommendation projects where I Identified and analyzed business strategy implications for the company to increase longevity through business analytics. Along with this, I have also worked on several data analysis projects and implemented strategies to mitigate the problems. I have also worked with three renowned journalists to help them with disinformation as a Data Analyst on the U.S General Elections 2020. With all these experiences and learnings from my academics, projects and internships, I eagerly await to bring them to test in the real world after my graduation in the Summer of 2021.
